About the data
A public, sourced record of what Karnataka's agencies have committed to build in Bengaluru. Here is what the figures mean, how sure we are of them, and how complete the record is.
What this is
This site compiles publicly available information about infrastructure projects in Bengaluru from government budget documents, agency reports, audit reports and published news coverage. Every figure is shown with its source and the date it was recorded.
Figures are drawn from official documents and media reports as published. They are not independently audited by us. Budget allocations, sanctioned amounts, funds released and actual expenditure are different things, and we label which is which. An allocation is not evidence that money was spent, and a delay is not evidence of wrongdoing.
We do not allege misconduct by any individual, official, department or contractor. Infrastructure delays have many causes, including land acquisition, litigation, clearances, funding, contractor capacity and design changes.
If you believe something here is inaccurate, write to [email]. We check every report against our sources and publish a dated correction where warranted; see corrections.
How sure we are: confidence
Every project carries a confidence level, based on the strongest document behind its figures:
- high
- Backed by an official document (budget, audit report, Assembly reply or RTI reply).
- medium
- Based on news reports or an agency's own report, not yet an official document.
- low
- Based on an announcement only, not yet verified against any document.
Right now 0 projects are high, 22 medium and 0 low confidence. Lists only show the badge where a project differs from the rest; every project page states it.
Data quality
Which years we have figures for, project by project. Hatched cells are gaps: years in which a project existed but no sourced figure has been found yet. We show the gaps on purpose.

Update schedule
Every project is re-checked each quarter, in January, April, July and October, timed to when the underlying data moves: the Karnataka budget lands in spring, agency annual reports follow, and Assembly sessions produce question replies in batches. Next re-check: January 2027. Factual fixes are made any time between re-checks. A project not re-checked for two quarters is marked "possibly outdated". Each re-check's notes appear under Updates.

- Allegations of corruption, or any claim about why a delay happened.
- Contractor performance rankings.
- Anything sourced only from social media or unattributed claims.
